Terrible. We are visiting from out of town and staying in a hotel 3 miles away. The lady could not understand the address or the hotel name, so she eventually gave up and said we don't deliver there.

Pretty good food. I feel like all Chinese restaurants employees are always awkward.

Just had Dragon Gate delivered and it's exactly what you want when you order American Chinese food. Warm (the General Tso's chicken was still sizzling when I opened it), flavorful and delivered on time. Points off for too few vegetables in the lo mein.

I have been coming to and ordering from Dragon Gate for a little over ten years, and I have never been disappointed. My most recent visit in January 2015 was with some family visiting from California. They were all impressed with the quality, portion-size, and prices of the food. Our server was friendly and everything came out in a timely fashion. As far as my favorites, I love the egg drop soup and the beef with broccoli. Yum!

I was searching for a Chinese restaurant that was open on Sunday fairly early and stumbled across this place. Was I glad I did!! Not only were they opened early... service was fantastic and the food over exceeded my expectations! I absolutely will return more often.

It was one of those nights when you just don't know what to eat but everyone in the car is starving and you don't wanna go home and cook, so you just stop somewhere random and then it actually turns out really good... The hot tea is great and they serve it in a carafe that stays hot so it's perfect for sipping on the entire time you're there. The wonton soup was okay. The egg rolls were really crispy and tasted fine but there wasn't much to the middle. The cream cheese fried wontons were a little different than most Chinese restaurants but pretty good. The chicken fried rice was so good I wanted to cry. Okay not really gonna boohoo all over my review here but seriously it was exactly the way I like my chicken fried rice. There wasn't any weird greasy pieces that were slimy, no overcooked or undercooked rice, no excessive grease on the plate, and no yucky fatty chicken bits. What it did have was juicy mixed veggies, perfectly cooked rice, the perfect amount of egg, delicious chicken, and just enough bean sprouts. So good! I was pleasantly surprised.

I have been here only once before. The door was broken and I looked like a dummy trying it. Seems rundown and not cared for. The food was good that's why 4 stars.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the city! Being a vegetarian, most restaurants offer one bean curd plate and/or veggie entree. They have multiple delicious veggie and tofu options! And their tofu isn't soggy little cubes that other restaurants can be notorious for. Every friend and family member that I take here is very pleased with the food. I definitely recommend it!

I have been three times at least. The fish tank in nice. I wonder if the fish come from it. Not likely. Love the food. I like the curry. It's kind of different. There is something about it that I can't figure out. ginger maybe... I love the duck with mushrooms. My partner ordered it and he didn't like it. I ate as much as I could before he brought the leftovers to his wife. The egg rolls are great. I like half Chinese mustard half sweet and sour. Enough about the food. This review is more about how they dealt with my drunk partner and my employees. They were friendly while still maintaining control. Great balance for people that barley spoke our language. I don't care if someone speaks English. I care if someone "speaks" common sense! Great food and great service. Thanks for putting up with my guests!

It was just ok. This is the 2nd time that we've tried this place because our friends eat here. My General Tso's Chicken was sweet glazed in a not so spicy sauce and missing veggies. My husband's lemon chicken was over cooked and pretty dry. The egg drop soup was pretty standard along with the egg roll. Our order was ready for pick up when they said it would be so they're timely...but I'll be finding a new Chinese Take out place.

I'm not one to bad mouth my own peeps but this place sucks! This is not an authentic/ legit Chinese restaurant. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting it to be authentic but I did expect it to be better than Panda Express. I called for delivery and was put on hold for 10 mins. Ordered sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, and steamed rice. It's a cheat day. Anyways, the sesame chicken had that stale freezer burned taste and the Mongolian beef...doesn't taste like beef. On top of the horrible taste, I didn't get utensils or the wood chop sticks! You can say I'm pretty disappointed. I just hope I don't get the poops tonight! To add insult to injury, I just found out they charged for delivery from another yelp post. Which meant I tipped the delivery guy 9 bucks for driving a mile! Fml. Ok, there's one positive thing about this place. Large portions of crap. Check out Jessica K's review as well.

We tried Dragon Gate for dinner once after seeing the positive reviews here, and have been back several times since. Service is quick and attentive, the dining room is decorated very nicely, and the food is hot, delicious, and plentiful. Dinner for two plus drinks usually costs us about $20. They also offer free delivery after meeting their $15 minimum purchase.

food was absolutely great. drove by for a couple of days. outside looks ruff. but the food makes up for it. I guess it's true don't judge a book by its cover. when I'm back from california. I will definitely be back.

It's ok, mainly because they'll deliver to my work, though New Panda II down the street is far superior in every way. Neither are as good as my fave in town, Mandarin Bistro. Good lunch combos, and does satisfy that American Chinese craving. Definitely not healthy though. Greasy, sugary sauces.

This place is cheap fast cooking and delicious. The menu has many items and the atmosphere is pretty good inside, however the carpet is kind of dirty. Overall pretty good!!

Im currently a patient @ memorial hospital & I have never had such nasty egg foo young in my life never seen a egg foo young presentation like theirs. Owner refused to correct & hung up my face I have disputed my meal

I went in here on a Saturday night looking for some legit chinese food based on fairly positive reviews. The place was pretty clean, and had a guy waiting to take my order as soon as I arrived. I decided on the Tao chicken, sesame chicken, and orange chicken. All I can say is this is exactly what i want when I crave chinese. Nothing fancy, just chicken cooked crispy in a delicious sauce over rice. This is my new go-to chinese in the springs. It's sad that so many restaurants get it wrong when it comes to chinese. This place does it right...

Affordable, fast, delicious! This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Make sure you have an appetite or be prepared to box up your leftovers!

We hardly eat Chinese, so we were looking for best rated and close to us; this was our option. I had Chicken Mu Shu and Crab Rangoon, which was more like cream cheese wantons, and I enjoyed them. Husband had General Tso's Chicken. He liked it, too. Lastly, we should note that we took it to go, so we cannot comment on the service, but nothing would prevent us from coming back.

Been going for chinese food here for years. The sesame chicken has been very good. Went a couple days ago and the chicken was very hard and crispy and extremely spicy. Wonton soup was very salty and hot and sour overly spicy. Not sure if they have a new cook but we ended up throwing it out. Why do they give you so much rice and one packet of soy sauce. When I ask for more they act like it's an imposition or it's taking from the profits. By the way the parking lot is very nasty and dirty there. they need to cut out some old bushes and take a dang broom to the parking lot. Inside is clean but seriously why don't they care about their outside. It's a dingy enough neighborhood as it is. Why not spruce it up?

honesty i was very disappointed :( . I was reading every ones reviews and dragons gate had 4 stars. what i saw at dragons gate was not what i expected. when i went in it looked like a pretty decent place. yet to be discovered their dumplings were not home made, they were frozen and boiled.the food had no color so it did not look so appetizing. (now this is my opinion so don't act on my opinion alone) . there Moo shu was delicious. over all i would not go on a date there.

This is coming from a woman who adores bad Chinese food: this stuff is gross. I ordered a Shrimp and Black Bean Sauce, crab rangoons and a shrimp fried rice. Sigh..it's hard to make stereotypical fast food Chinese food unbearably worse. They don't offer an online menu apparently so there was a lot of "do you have this? Or this?" going on and looking at their takeout menu now, they don't offer two out of the three items ordered. This may explain why it tasted like day old chemically ladened salted gravy with a blanket of black beans and grey, yes grey onions with some of the outer layers still cooked in. Nothing more appealing than 1inch cubes of onion you can't bite through, cut through or choke down and green bell pepper pieces larger than my fork. I was so hungry, I just powered through it with orange soda and tried to cut the sodium with a LOT of white rice. But then I took a bite of the "crab rangoon" which is not what it is. It's all cream cheese and no crab which is what they have listed on their menu but not what I asked for. If you don't have crab rangoons, why say you have them?! Insult to injury was the $5 delivery charge when they advertise free delivery. (Loads shotgun, points and shoots in their direction). Of course a delivery driver (and every restaurant employee) deserves to receive monetary compensation but does it have to be mandated when they advertise free delivery? That little discrepancy bugs the crap out of me.

My original review is below. Changed my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars because of changes in quality. I don't know what happened, but over the last year or so we've noticed a dramatic change in how fresh the food is, and overall quality. If it's a new manager, get rid of him/her and go back to your old ways. Original review: Great food at a reasonable price! Been eating here for years, and not once have we had a bad experience. They advertise that they use only 100% vegetable oil and no MSG, which was first attracted me to this place. The food is always hot, fresh, and tasty.

After being extremely disappointed in the quality of food at Overseas 101, I was scared to trust yelp reviews again. But! We were pleasantly surprised. My brother in law had the orange chicken and I had moo shu chicken. Both good! The egg rolls weren't as good as yelpers said they were, but that's fine. Much better than Overseas 101. Yay!

Every bite was worth another. My sweetheart and I drove in on a whim at 7pm on a Sunday and ordered one of the 2 for meals. The soups, appetizer and main meals were outstanding. Great service too. I hate when my glass goes empty but the waitress kepts drinks coming.

I can't believe anyone would give this place an unsatisfactory review! I've been eating here for about 4 years and the food, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant has never wavered. Their prices are extremely fair ($1 drinks!) and their dinner pricing includes a TON of food, half of which always comes home as leftovers. I typically order the sweet and sour chicken with egg drop soup, fried rice & fried cheese wontons. The chicken is high quality white meat and the breeding is always crisp. The veggies are always fresh and colorful, and still have bite to them. The fried rice is made plain, and isn't overly oily like some other Chinese places make it. My husband typically tries different dishes everytime we go and he has never had a complaint. The quality of the meat is excellent, so leave your stray cat comments at home! I will say though, that the turquoise painted exterior and bar-clad windows look a little intimidating. But once you get inside you'll be impressed with the ambience and the quality service. Food is always made fresh to order and arrives quickly regardless of the time of day you go. Dragon Gate is hands-down my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Springs!

Bottom line the owner of this business does not care about his loyal customers who have been giving him business since day one. He will treat you any way he wants to. Last time I will ever order there I got the chicken lo mein and I only get it spicy as usual I get home all the way on powers and N Carefree to find it not spicy at all. I call to let them know and of course the woman I was speaking to couldn't help me, she only offered me free hot oil next time I placed an order. Then she puts the man who cooked prepared my meal on the phone and he is yelling and cutting me off then he hangs up in my face. I return to the restaurant with my food to let them see how it was not prepared the way I had ordered and that it was not spicy at all. Also to inform them I didn't appreciate being yelled at and hung up on, to find out from one of the employees that the guy who yelled at me and hung up was the owner who wouldn't even come out and talk to me. He had one of his other employees say he is to busy and he does not care. I will never put another dime into this business and never subject anybody to this type of treatment. The end.

I LOVE Chinese food and this is the place that I always go to! I come here a lot so the staff are very friendly and usually know what I would like to order. The service is also very quick. I love their shrimp lo mein, fried rice and wonton soup. The portions are very good for the price you pay too. I love going for lunch because it is very affordable and even with a drink you won't have to worry about paying a lot of money. I have never had a bad experience as of yet, and will continue to come here!

Great chinese food. I got the chicken lo mein with hot and sour soup, delicious! I ordered delivery and they were pretty quick with it. I ordered about 10 mins before the lunch special combos would be done, so I went ahead and ordered the dinner combos but the guy told me I could still get the lunch special (and i did). There was so much food, I had leftovers. Someone at my work happened to have the menu, they do not have the menu posted online which was proving difficult to order because I wanted to see my choices.

I did not think this was a good place to eat Chinese food. The reason we ordered from this place was because they don't use msg. We ordered the pork fried wontons and they were disgusting. Completely dried out and just nasty. We coulnd't even eat them for fear of chipping a tooth. The other two meals were very bland. Again, the only perk is no msg.

My family has been coming here for years and years and are always happy with the food. Their steamed dumplings and wonton soup are the best in town, and their pork fried wontons amazing. You get a ton of food for a great price and the service is always friendly. If you are ever in the area I highly suggest stopping in for lunch of dinner!

A weekly favorite for lunch. Good food and great service at a wonderful price. Get the hot and spicy soup. It's the best in town!

F.Y.I: If you're too lazy to drive anywhere and are craving Chinese food...definitely consider Dragon Gate Chinese Restaurant. You can actually believe this place when they tell you you're food is going to there in 35-45 min and its still hot when it gets to your place. The delivery guys have always be pleasant and friendly...so don't be cheap and not tip! I would recommend the combination fried rice and chicken & broccoli.. the combination lo mein noodles were ooooookay but a little on the greasier side. If some homies are at your pad around dinner time, I would recommend getting the family meals because it's cheaper and the portions will feed everyone's tummies :) Dragon Gate has good food and good service! Yelpers remember to eat the entire fortune cookie before reading your fortune :)

I am kind of a hard sell when it comes to Chinese food. Keeping that in mind, can I just say WOW oh my gosh WOW!! The amount of food, the price, the nostalgia of the Chinese food I've been missing. This place is everything. I ordered 3 wonton soups, 3 egg rolls, 3 fried cheese wontons, chicken fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and chicken with broccoli. (don't judge.. because of the portion size I'd say I have like 8 meals here) NOTHING I ordered was a disappointment. This place is incredible. I got delivery and it arrived around the expected time. The guy was polite.

I like this place a lot. They deliver to the house, always friendly, make good food for the money. The Triple Dragon, Pepper Steak, and the street noodles are my favorite.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
